Day 1

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Arrive in the morning at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your Trek Safaris guide. After a short refreshment break, you will begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, with a stop for lunch along the way.

En route, you may visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an optional rhino tracking experience at USD 60 per person. You will then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the afternoon.

You will visit the top of the falls, where the Nile dramatically squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating a powerful and unforgettable view.

The scenic 6–7 hour drive takes you through vibrant towns, roadside markets, and rural villages, offering a glimpse into local life.

Afterwards, your guide will transfer you to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Early Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

After breakfast, you’ll set off at 8:00 am for an exciting game drive across the savannah. Keep your eyes peeled for giraffes, elephants, lions, antelopes, and the graceful Uganda kob, and don’t forget the birds—fish eagles and, if you’re lucky, the rare shoebill.

On a clear morning, you might even spot the distant Blue Mountains of the Congo.

Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Nile toward Murchison Falls, where hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and water birds await. Then back to Pakuba Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

After an early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park. This scenic drive covers approximately 7–8 hours (about 350–400 km), making it the longest transfer of the safari.

You will travel through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing rolling hills, lush tea plantations, and rural villages. Along the way, you may enjoy views of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, often referred to as the “Mountains of the Moon,” with their snow-capped peaks visible on a clear day, as well as the dramatic escarpment landscapes.

There will be several stopovers to stretch, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings, with lunch served en route.

You will arrive in Kibale Forest National Park in the evening, where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will head to the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre for a briefing before setting out on your chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest National Park. The tracking offers an excellent chance to see chimpanzees in their natural habitat, with sightings very likely given the habituated groups.

Kibale is one of Uganda’s most beautiful tropical forests and is home to 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black-and-white colobus, and grey-cheeked mangabeys.

After lunch, you may choose to visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk (optional at USD 20 per person). This experience is known for its rich birdlife and community conservation efforts.

Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 2–3 hours through the western Uganda countryside. Enjoy views of rolling hills, small villages, and rural farmlands along the way.

On arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. The cruise offers incredible wildlife viewing, including large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of water birds along the shoreline.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy sightings of elephants, lions, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and abundant birdlife as you explore the park’s scenic savannahs.

After the game drive, begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the stunning western rift valley escarpments and rural villages. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours, with opportunities to stretch, take photos, and enjoy the scenery along the way.

You will arrive in Bwindi in the evening, check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and settle in for an overnight stay in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Begin your day with an early morning guided nature walk in the park, offering a unique opportunity to explore the wildlife on foot.

After breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Entebbe. Along the way, you will stop in Masaka for lunch and later visit the Equator for photos, a coffee break, and souvenir shopping.

You will arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon, marking the end of your safari.
