After an early breakfast at your accommodation, you will be transferred to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees. You will spend the day on game drives, spotting wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and lions, as well as diverse birdlife. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, and in the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll journey into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, take time to pause and admire the stunning panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater one of Africa's most iconic landscapes. From there, your adventure continues as you travel through the conservation area en route to the southern region of the Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti is a world-renowned wildlife haven, celebrated for its endless plains and exceptional game-viewing opportunities. While it hosts an incredible range of animals year-round, it’s especially famous for the Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may witness this awe-inspiring event, where thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope traverse the plains in search of greener pastures.
Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch during your day’s journey, and later, settle in for a magical overnight stay at your carefully selected lodge or camp, nestled within the heart of the Serengeti.

Early in the morning, after breakfast at your accommodation, you will proceed to explore Serengeti National Park. It is known for its unique wildebeest river crossings at the Mara River during migration season, typically from July to August. Wildlife viewing can be more challenging due to denser vegetation than on other plains. Also, this area offers a more exclusive and less crowded safari experience.

After a filling breakfast, you’ll set off on a picturesque drive toward the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, taking in sweeping vistas and spotting wildlife along the way. Your afternoon will be spent exploring this natural marvel before continuing on to your lodge in Karatu.
The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning natural amphitheater formed over two million years ago by a massive volcanic eruption. It is the world’s largest intact caldera and serves as a rich haven for wildlife. Within its steep volcanic walls lies a diverse landscape of golden grasslands, sparkling lakes, verdant swamps, and acacia-dotted woodlands.
Descending into the crater is a true highlight, offering panoramic views and close encounters with abundant wildlife. On the crater floor, you’re likely to see herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and an astonishing variety of birds—over 500 species, including flamingos and crowned cranes. You may even spot the rare black rhino roaming the plains.

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, enjoying a final morning game drive. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, abundant flamingos, birdlife, and the large herds of elephants moving through the lush groundwater forest. After the drive, you will head back to Arusha for your departure, concluding the safari.
