Day 2

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a stunning wildlife sanctuary known for its massive elephant herds, striking baobab trees, and rich variety of animals that thrive along the Tarangire River. As you enter the park, your game drive begins immediately, offering opportunities to spot giraffes gracefully feeding on acacia trees, herds of zebras and wildebeests moving across the plains, and predators such as lions resting in the shade.

Tarangire is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with hundreds of colourful species found throughout the park. Around midday, enjoy a peaceful picnic lunch at a designated viewpoint, taking in the views of the river and the animals gathered there to drink. Continue exploring different parts of the park in the afternoon before driving to Karatu, where you will settle into your budget campsite for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the cool, calm highland atmosphere.

Day 3

Ngorongoro

Early in the morning, depart for the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After reaching the rim, you will descend 600 meters into the ancient caldera, where an incredible concentration of animals awaits.

Spend the day exploring this unique ecosystem, home to grazing zebras, wildebeests, large buffalo herds, majestic lions, graceful elephants, and the highly endangered black rhino. Your guide will take you through the crater’s diverse habitats—open plains, freshwater swamps, acacia woodlands, and the shallow waters of Lake Magadi, where flamingos gather. Around midday, enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint, often near a hippo pool, offering a peaceful break surrounded by wildlife.

As the afternoon light softens, ascend the crater walls and begin your journey back to Arusha, where your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or at the airport, depending on your onward travel plans.
