You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Following lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive around the Ndutu area. From December to April, the short-grass plains typically host the majority of the wildebeest migration. The region is also abundantly populated with elephants, diverse bird species, and resident wildlife.

Ndutu

After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region. You will traverse diverse habitats, including swamps, woodlands, soda lakes, and the iconic Serengeti short-grass plains. Expect to witness large herds of wildebeest and zebra. During a brief period around February, typically lasting three weeks, most wildebeest give birth. The open plains provide little cover, leaving the young vulnerable to numerous predators. Newborn wildebeest can stand and run within minutes, and by three days old, they are usually strong enough to keep pace with the herd.
