Day 1

Arrive at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After proceeding through immigration and customs, you will be met by our representative who will brief you on your safari and then drive to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. It is a sheltered oasis in the heart of a private conservancy, offering all the luxury and special touches you would expect from any Serena establishment. Lunch will be at the camp to be followed by an afternoon game drive at the Conservancy which hosts all the members of the ‘Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard). Ol Pejeta boasts of having a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Serena Sweetwaters Tented Camp or similar.

Day 2

Today you'll depart to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru and the other lakes of the Great Rift Valley are the few geological features of the earth visible from outer space. The park is famous for its stunning flock of loner flamingoes, which literally turn its shores pink. Lunch will be followed by an afternoon game drive where we expect to see waterbucks, bohor reedbucks, zebras, black and white rhinos, lions, Rothschild giraffes, and white and black Columbus monkeys. The birdlife in Lake Nakuru is plentiful hence, the reason it’s a beacon for leading ornithologists and wildlife filmmakers. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 3

Drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and home to the Big Five. Have lunch then an afternoon game drive. The Mara National Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see. Residents in the parks are Masai giraffe, buffalo, eland and thousand of plain game including impala, zebra, topi, and both Thomson's and Grant's gazelles. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 4

Search for great predators today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetahs and leopards hiding amidst acacia boughs. During our stay, we will also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai at an extra cost. Get to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. Enjoy a glimpse into their homes and social structure which is a poignant experience. All meals and your overnight stay are at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
