Mombasa to Amboseli

Your safari begins early with a hotel pickup and a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park. As the landscape opens into vast plains, Mount Kilimanjaro comes into view, creating a stunning backdrop. Upon entering the park, you embark on your first game drive across grasslands and marshes, home to large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, lions, hyenas, and abundant birdlife. After the drive, you head to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you return for another extended game drive, focusing on the vibrant marshlands where elephants gather to feed and cool off. With Kilimanjaro often visible, the mix of wildlife and scenery offers exceptional photographic opportunities. As the sun sets, you return to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful night in the heart of Amboseli.

Amboseli to Taita Hills

Your second day begins with an early breakfast as you depart Amboseli and make your way toward Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. The drive offers views of the countryside and occasional wildlife along the roadside. Upon entering the sanctuary, you begin a game drive through diverse terrain home to elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, cheetahs, and many smaller species. By midday, you arrive at your lodge often the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge raised on stilts above a busy waterhole. After lunch, you relax and enjoy the lodge’s unique vantage point, where animals frequently appear below the viewing decks. In the afternoon, you head out for another game drive across open plains and hilltops, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. As evening falls, you return for dinner and enjoy exceptional views of animals gathering at the illuminated waterhole before settling in for the night.

Taita Hills to Mombasa

Our final day begins with an early morning game drive when the sanctuary is at its liveliest. The soft light and refreshing morning air offer ideal conditions for spotting animals as they move through the plains and gather near water sources. After the drive, you return to the lodge for breakfast and a moment to relax while enjoying the panoramic views of the surrounding hills. A little later, you check out and begin your final game drive as you exit the sanctuary, giving you another chance to spot wildlife along the way. Once outside the conservancy, you begin your return journey toward your hotel or onward destination, arriving in the afternoon with lasting memories of three days spent exploring the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of Amboseli and Taita Hills.
