Transfer to Mikumi, Gamedrive on Arrival

You’ll be picked up from the airport, ferry, or your hotel and head straight to Mikumi National Park. Along the way, you’ll pause in Morogoro for lunch before continuing the roughly six-hour journey. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on an afternoon-to-evening game drive, spotting lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, and many other animals amid the park’s stunning landscapes. Later, you’ll return to the cottage for dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning gamedrive, transfer back to Dar es Salaam

Starts with an early morning game drive in Mikumi National Park, giving you the best chance to witness wildlife at its most active. As the sun rises, you may spot lions finishing their hunts, grazing elephants and buffalo, and herds of zebras and giraffes moving across the open plains. The soft morning light enhances the scenery, making it a perfect time for photography and peaceful viewing of the park’s diverse landscapes. After completing the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast and prepare for your journey back to Dar es Salaam. The drive offers a final look at the rural countryside, with opportunities to reflect on your safari experience. You’ll arrive in Dar es Salaam later in the day, marking the end of your memorable two-day adventure. On arrival, you may choose to be dropped off at the ferry for the second or last ferry to Zanzibar, or we can drop you off at the airport or hotel.
