Upon arrival, a member of our experienced grounds team will meet you at Windhoek Airport with a warm greeting and personalised welcome sign. They'll then transfer you to the beautiful Hotel Heinitzburg, a historic castle perched on a hilltop overlooking the city, where you'll spend your first night of your unforgettable adventure.

Day 2-3

Damaraland

Today marks the start of your self-drive adventure! Our grounda team will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to the car rental office. Here, you'll pick up your vehicle and meet with the rental team, who will answer any last-minute questions, provide a thorough vehicle orientation, and equip you with detailed maps and your final itinerary.

You'll then begin your scenic drive to Damaraland, which takes approximately 5 hours. Over the next 2 nights, you'll be based at Mowani Mountain Camp, where you can explore this remarkable desert landscape known for its ancient rock art, desert-adapted elephants, and dramatic geological formations.

Today you'll journey approximately 4 hours to the world-renowned Etosha National Park. Your next 2 nights will be spent at the stunning Onguma Game Reserve, positioned right on the eastern edge of Etosha. This exclusive location offers fewer tourists while still providing exceptional game viewing, as animals roam freely between the reserve and the national park. Today you'll continue east with a couple hours' drive to Ngepi Camp, venturing further into the heart of the Zambezi Region. You'll spend your next 2 nights at this fun and adventurous camp, situated right on the banks of the Okavango River. Are you brave enough to swim in their unique submerged cage, safe from crocodiles and hippos in the river itself?
