Day 1

Welcome to Uganda. You will be received by a Likyadi Adventures guide upon arrival at the airport and you will transfer to the hotel for relaxing. Depending on your time of arrival, you will have lunch before transferring to the hotel. You will then check in at the hotel and relax preparing for the safari adventure that awaits in the Pearl of Africa.

Day 2

After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked by a Likyadi Adventures guide and start your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park in North Eastern Uganda. You will have a first stop over at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakansongola where you will have an hour on-foot rhino trekking experience. After the rhino tracking experience, you will continue your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will have a lunch stop in Gulu. You will arrive at the lodge in Kidepo Valley National Park later in the evening where you will check in to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After your early morning breakfast, you will depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6am in the rolling plains of Kidepo valley and look out for different mammal species such as leopards, elephants, elands, zebras, ostriches, giraffes, buffaloes, cheetahs, which can be spotted at the Narus valley when they drinking water. You will then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a community visit to the Karamajongs where you will be able to learn about their ways of life. In the evening, you will head out for an evening game drive in the park where will have a chance to spot more wildlife. You will then return to the lodge after the evening game drive for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge in Kidepo Valley National Park and you will transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. In the park you will visit the top of Murchison Falls, the powerful falls where the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the Devil’s Cauldron creating a trademark rainbow.
From the falls you will continue in the park where you will have an evening game drive where will see different wildlife species such as Elepants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, hyenas, oribis, waterbucks, among others. After the evening game drive you will check in to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6am and head into the park and look out for view the different mammals such as elephants, lions, leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes like Uganda kob, topi, bushbucks. You will have time to relax for lunch and after join the boat cruise to take you to the bottom of Murchison falls as you spot aquatic wildlife such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, and water birds. On return Catch up with sunset view before dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and start your journey to Kibale National Park in Fort Portal in Western Uganda through the tea plantations and rolling hills to reach Fort portal town. While in Fort portal you will have an en-route lunch and continue your journey to Kibale National Park. After checking into the lodge, you will embark on a guided
nature walk in the Bigodi wetlands and you have a chance to spot 138 bird species. You will visit the communities around Kibale National Park where you will learn how coffee is processed locally for consumption by the local coffee farmers. You will visit Rest in Bananas where you will see how the Banana man makes different products from bananas. After this experience, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters at Kanyanchu at 7:30am for briefing by the guides about the dos and don’ts while with the chimpanzees. You will then embark on a trek for the search of the chimpanzees and once you have spotted a group, you will spend one hour with them observing their different behaviors and you will also spot other primates in the forest. After the chimpanzee trekking experience you will awarded a chimpanzee tracking certificate and after you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive at the lodge where you will check in and you will head out for an evening game drive in the plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will be able to see animals such as Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, Waterbucks, Uganda kobs among others. Have your breakfast very early in the morning and depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6am in the Kasenyi plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park. While in the park you will look out for wildlife such as Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, Waterbucks, Uganda kobs, and many others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge and some rest, relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch you will for a 2 hour afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will have a chance to spot Elephants, Buffaloes, Hippos, Crocodiles, and many bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After your early morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector. You will have a game drive in the Ishasha sector and you will have a chance to see the tree climbing lions that are seen resting in the fig trees. After you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and you will have lunch along the way. You will arrive at the lodge where you will check in. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After the early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the UWA visitor’s reception where briefing is done before trekking at 7:30am about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla
trekking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to assist you during trekking and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them and this is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour.

In the evening, you will then embark on a Batwa community experience where you will visit the Batwa people and learn their different ways of living such as how they used to make fire, how they hunted for their food among others. After this experience you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After your morning breakfast, you will exit the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and set off to Entebbe International Airport. Along the way you will have a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos and the famous water experiment that show that earth is separated into the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and you will have a chance to enjoy both the hemispheres as you will take so many pictures of the beautiful moments. You will have an en-route lunch and you continue your journey to Entebbe International Airport. Do not forget to purchase a souvenir for yourself as a remembrance for this wonderful trip.
