Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Nairobi - Masai Mara

You'll be picked up from your hotel or JKIA and leave for the Masai Mara National Reserve, driving through the Great Rift Valley. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti Plains, famously known for its spectacular annual wildebeest migration. It is also home to Africa's Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos). You will arrive in the afternoon and proceed on the game drive until late in the evening.

Other animals in the reserve include Maasai giraffe, buffalo, eland, and thousands of plains game, including impalas, zebras, topis, and both Thompson's and Grant's gazelles.
