Day 2

After breakfast, meet your guide for a brief Kigali City Tour. Gain insight into Rwanda’s history and culture, visiting key landmarks such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and other significant sites depending on time.
Following the city tour, begin your scenic drive toward the Uganda border. Along the way, stop for lunch at a local restaurant, enjoying regional cuisine while taking in the rolling hills and picturesque countryside.
Continue your journey through the border formalities and onward to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner in preparation for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Gorilla Trekking Adventure in Bwindi, Uganda
Today is the highlight of your safari—meeting the giant mountain gorillas face-to-face. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on sectors, gorilla behavior, trekking guidelines, and safety protocols.
Follow your ranger into the rainforest in search of the gorillas—a trek of 2–5 hours depending on their location. Along the way, spot monkeys, birds, butterflies, frogs, and other wildlife. Porters can be hired for $15 each.
Once found, spend 1 hour observing, photographing, and asking questions. The full activity takes 5–9 hours, so a packed lunch is recommended.

Transfer from Bwindi to Kigali & Departure
Transfer from Bwindi to Kigali & Departure
After breakfast at your lodge, enjoy an optional community tour around Bwindi to learn about local culture and interact with local residents. Afterwards, begin your scenic drive back to Kigali, taking in the rolling hills and rural landscapes along the way. Stop for lunch en route before crossing the border. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda Gorilla Safari.
