Day 1

Today you will be picked by our guide from your accommodation in Entebbe after which you will embark on your journey to the famous Bwindi impenetrable National Park, a journey that crosses the equator line. This Park is mostly famous for the rare mountain gorillas and the drive to the park is incredibly scenic, passing through various local villages and the lush green countryside and hills which characterize so much of south western Uganda. You will have lunch en-route and proceed to Bwindi arriving in the Evening for relaxation and dinner.

Day 2

Ultimate Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. The hike can be physically demanding but the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young ones. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge. Return to the lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest for tomorrow’s journey.
Remember to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat and water proof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain.

Transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, depart Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and begin your scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful haven nestled among terraced hills. The journey offers beautiful views of southwestern Uganda’s rolling countryside, passing through traditional communities and lush landscapes.
Lake Bunyonyi, famous for its 29 islands and often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa”, is the perfect place to relax after the gorilla trekking experience.
You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a tranquil Canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi, weaving between the islands while your guide shares stories about their history, including the well-known Punishment Island.
Return to your lodge in the early evening to unwind and take in the serene lake views.

Enjoy an early breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and begin the drive back to Entebbe. The journey takes you through the scenic highlands of southwestern Uganda, passing rolling hills, terraced farms and vibrant rural communities.
Along the way, you will stop at the Equator for a short water demonstration and a chance to take memorable photos while standing in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Continue your journey to Entebbe, arriving in time to catch your flight back home.
