Afternoon: You will be picked up from your hotel and proceed on a 3 hours drive to Musanze. On arrival, you will visit both Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla fund and Gorilla Guardians Village for a cultural experience.

The Campus stands as a beacon for conservation, education, and community engagement, continuing the legacy of Dr. Dian Fossey and the commitment to protect these incredible creatures.

Gorilla Trekking Experience and Departure

After an early breakfast at 06h40, you will depart for the park headquarters where you will receive a briefing and be assigned to a gorilla group and accompanied by experienced park guide head to the starting point.

You will begin your gorilla trek through Volcanoes National Park following the trail to the specific gorilla family assigned to you. You will spend 1 hour once you locate them and later, descend back to the lodge to freshen up, check out and have lunch before driving back to Kigali.
