Kafue National Park is the oldest and largest national park in Zambia, covering more than 22,000 square kilometers of raw, untouched wilderness. Its vast landscapes range from dense woodlands and sweeping savannas to riverine forests and open floodplains, creating a rich mosaic of habitats that support incredible biodiversity.
The park is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and large herds of antelope species such as sable, roan, kudu, and red lechwe. It’s also one of the best places in Africa to spot the elusive wild dog.
