Arusha to Ndutu – First Game Drive

Your safari begins in Arusha with an early morning pick-up from your hotel and briefing by your guide. You then drive towards the Ndutu/Serengeti South area, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands and enjoying game viewing en route. As you reach the open plains, you start to search for wildebeest herds, zebras, giraffes and predators that follow the Migration. After a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive, you continue to your comfortable mid-range tented camp in the Ndutu area, where you can relax, enjoy dinner and fall asleep to the sounds of the bush.

Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu

Today is dedicated to exploring the Ndutu plains in depth. After an early breakfast you set out with a packed lunch for a full day of game drives. In the calving season (typically December to March), this area hosts huge concentrations of wildebeest and zebras, attracting lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other predators. Your guide will follow wildlife-rich areas, giving you time to enjoy sightings, photography and quiet moments watching the herds. In the late afternoon you return to your tented camp to relax by the fire, enjoy dinner and spend a second night in the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem.

Morning Safari in Ndutu & Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast you head out for a final game drive in the Ndutu area, making the most of the morning light and high wildlife activity. You may revisit favourite spots or explore new areas in search of last special sightings before leaving the plains behind. Later, you begin the drive back through the Ngorongoro highlands towards Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. Your guide drops you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your three-day Ndutu safari.
