Day 1
Fly from Serengeti to Bwindi (via Entebbe)
Fly from Serengeti to Bwindi (via Entebbe)
Your day starts with a relaxed breakfast at your Serengeti lodge before a transfer to the nearest airstrip. The schedule varies depending on location, but most flights out of the Serengeti depart between 08:00 and 10:00. The first flight typically takes 1–1.5 hours and routes through northern Tanzania before continuing to Entebbe.
When you land in Entebbe, you clear immigration on the airside transit channel, which is usually smooth and takes about 20–30 minutes. You then connect to your domestic flight to Kihihi, a scenic 1 hour 15-minute flight over Lake Victoria and rolling hills.
Your Nandi Adventures guide meets you on arrival. From Kihihi, it is a beautiful 1 hour 10-minute drive into the forested slopes of Bwindi. The scenery shifts from open farmland to thick jungle walls, giving you a first glimpse of the rainforest home of the mountain gorillas.
At your boutique lodge, you settle into your room, take in the view from your balcony, and enjoy the cool forest air.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your day begins before sunrise with breakfast. Then you head to the park for a short orientation led by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. The briefing explains forest etiquette, gorilla behavior, and trekking tips.
Your trek starts around 08:30 with an armed ranger guide leading your group. Depending on where your assigned gorilla family nested the night before the trek can last 2 to 6 hours. The trail weaves through thick jungle vines, moss-covered trees, and clearings with sweeping views of Bwindi’s ridges.
When you reach the gorillas, the atmosphere changes instantly. Everything becomes still and quiet, except for the soft sounds of feeding and occasional calls deep in the forest. You spend one full hour watching the family—youngsters tumbling through branches, mothers grooming, and the silverback maintaining a calm, powerful presence. Rangers help position you safely for photos and observation
Later in the afternoon you may choose a community visit, or simply relax at the lodge.
