Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in the morning or afternoon, clear customs and immigration, and meet your driver-guide at the airport for a transfer to Arusha, approximately 1.5 hours by road. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel or lodge and take time to rest and relax after your flight. If you wish, you may enjoy a short optional visit around Arusha town, including stops at places such as the Cultural Heritage Centre or the Maasai Market for local crafts and souvenirs. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at your accommodations, followed by your overnight stay in Arusha.

Day 2

Arusha - Serengeti National Park

Arusha - Serengeti National Park

The road transfer from Arusha to Serengeti National Park offers scenic landscapes and cultural encounters. Departing Arusha, guests enjoy views of Mount Meru, farmland, and rural villages as the journey continues through Maasai areas, where traditional herding activities can be observed. The drive then enters the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, characterized by cooler highlands, forests, and dramatic volcanic scenery, with an optional stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for panoramic views. Wildlife may be seen along the route, and a picnic lunch will be had at a designated site.

The journey proceeds to Naabi Hill Gate, the entrance to Serengeti National Park, where the landscape opens into the vast Serengeti plains and the first game-viewing opportunities begin en route to the lodge or camp. Guests may spot giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and occasionally lions or cheetahs. Arrival time may vary depending on road conditions, weather, and wildlife sightings.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive to explore different areas of the Serengeti, such as Central Serengeti (Seronera) and the Western Corridor. Morning is the best time to see predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Enjoy a packed lunch in the park or return to your lodge for a leisurely meal, then continue with an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is home to the annual Great Migration (if visiting between June and October), so you may be able to witness this incredible spectacle of millions of wildebeests and zebras. In the evening, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and your overnight stay in the Serengeti.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for a morning game drive in a different area of the Serengeti, possibly visiting the Ndutu or Eastern Serengeti region, which is known for its varied landscapes and diverse wildlife. Enjoy lunch at your lodge or on a scenic picnic within the park, then continue with an afternoon game drive, possibly exploring riverine forests or areas near the Grumeti River, where you can spot crocodiles, hippos, and large herds of buffalo. In the evening, return to your accommodations for dinner and your overnight stay in the Serengeti.

Day 5

Northern Serengeti National Park

After an early morning pickup from camp around 05:00 hrs, you will be transferred to the balloon launch site. The hot air balloon safari begins at sunrise, around 06:00 hrs, and lasts approximately one hour, offering breathtaking aerial views of the Serengeti plains, rivers, and wildlife such as wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and, when visible, predators. Upon landing, you will enjoy a champagne bush breakfast in the wilderness. After breakfast, proceed with a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, exploring different areas of the park in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a wide variety of birdlife. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park, with game viewing continuing throughout the day alongside breaks for rest and photography. In the late afternoon, drive back to the lodge for relaxation and your overnight stay.

Day 6

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, an approximately a four-hour drive by road. Upon arrival, descend into the crater for a half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” and is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, and black rhinos. In the afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. After lunch, continue exploring the crater, possibly visiting the Lake Magadi area where flamingos can be seen, while enjoying further wildlife viewing. In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu, about 30 minutes from the crater rim, and check in at your accommodations. In the evening, enjoy dinner at your lodge and relax after an exciting day of game viewing. Your overnight stay will be in Karatu.
