Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley’s most celebrated lakes, renowned for its rich ecosystem and large concentrations of birdlife, including both Greater and Lesser Flamingos and numerous other water birds. The park supports an impressive diversity of wildlife, with over 56 mammal species such as white rhinos, buffaloes, and other plains game, as well as nearly 450 recorded bird species.

Lake Nakuru National Park is internationally recognized as a rhino sanctuary, offering a rare opportunity to see both black and white rhinos thriving in a protected environment.
