Upon arrival, check in at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort and enjoy lunch, followed by time to relax within the resort’s expansive natural grounds. The resort is renowned for its rich birdlife and resident wildlife, including waterbucks and warthogs that freely roam the property.
Guests may opt for a one-hour boat safari on Lake Naivasha at an extra cost, offering close encounters with hippos and stunning views of the lake and surrounding highland landscapes. Later in the afternoon, visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari, where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and abundant birdlife. After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and depart for a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park in the late morning. Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley’s most celebrated lakes, renowned for its rich ecosystem and large concentrations of birdlife, including both Greater and Lesser Flamingos and numerous other water birds. The park supports an impressive diversity of wildlife, with over 56 mammal species such as white rhinos, buffaloes, and other plains game, as well as nearly 450 recorded bird species.
Lake Nakuru National Park is internationally recognized as a rhino sanctuary, offering a rare opportunity to see both black and white rhinos thriving in a protected environment.
