Upon your arrival, a friendly representative from Nevisca Tours and Safaris will warmly welcome you at the airport and escort you to your accommodation in Arusha. Here, you can unwind, relax, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. You will also have the opportunity to explore the charming city of Arusha and its nearby attractions at your leisure.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

In the morning, you will be picked up from your lodge in Arusha by your personal safari guide and set off toward Tarangire National Park, travelling across gently rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees.

Along the way, you may encounter Maasai people in their colourful traditional attire walking along the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, or guiding donkey carts. Tarangire National Park is renowned for its vast elephant herds and is home to a remarkable diversity of wildlife.

From the open roof of your safari vehicle, enjoy sweeping views of seasonal swamps, open savanna, and the life-giving Tarangire River, as you search for animals such as zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and giraffes, among many others. With a bit of luck, you may also spot lions stalking their prey or leopards resting in the trees above.

After an extensive game drive, you will depart for one of our carefully selected mid-range partner lodges, where you will enjoy dinner.

Central Serengeti National Park

Central Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will set off for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Though the journey is long, the scenery along the way is truly breathtaking.

As you enter the park, you’ll quickly understand why Serengeti means “endless plains,” with vast open landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see. Covering nearly 18,000 square kilometres, the park offers an overwhelming sense of space and scale.

The Serengeti is home to the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move across the plains each year. It is also one of the best places to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas—many of which have been featured in iconic wildlife documentaries.

Day 4

Today, you will head out early on your morning game drive for a chance to witness a magnificent African sunrise in the bush. You will head out after a cup of coffee and experience the wilderness and its magnificent creatures as they wake up among the dew-covered grasses.

Later, you will have your full breakfast at the park without forgetting to enjoy lunch in the middle of the park.

In the afternoon, you will head out once more for another chance to explore the plains in search of African wildlife as you exit the park.

Day 5

Rise early for a scenic drive to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today’s highlight is the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders.

Upon reaching the crater rim, you will descend nearly 600 metres into the vast caldera, where rich grasslands, soda lakes, and abundant wildlife await. The crater is home to over 25,000 animals, including the Big Five, spotted hyenas, and more than 500 bird species.

After an exciting game drive and a picnic lunch on the crater floor, you will continue to your hotel in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National ParK-Arusha

After breakfast, you will travel to your final safari destination, Lake Manyara National Park. Though relatively small, this diverse park lies 120 kilometres west of Arusha and is centred around its shallow, seasonal salt lake.

The lake expands and recedes with the seasons and attracts thousands of flamingos, along with more than 500 bird species. As you explore the park, you may encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, elephants, and if you’re lucky lions resting in the trees.

Lake Manyara is celebrated for its varied landscapes, from open grassy plains to dense, primate-rich woodlands and dramatic baobab-studded cliffs. After lunch, you will return to Arusha.

After breakfast at around 7:30 a.m., you will be picked up by your guide and transfer to the coast, where you’ll board a traditional dhow for a scenic journey to the island. Upon arrival, you’ll learn about the island’s fascinating history and meet its famous residents over 50 giant tortoises, some more than a century old.

After exploring the island, enjoy time to swim in the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by colourful tropical fish.

Later, you will continue with a three-hour Spice Tour, where you’ll discover a wide variety of tropical fruits, spices, and herbs. The guided walk offers insight into Zanzibar’s rich spice heritage, including cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, vanilla, pepper, ginger, tamarind, and many other aromatic plants once traded across the Indian Ocean.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
