Depart Arusha in the morning for Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich wildlife along the Tarangire River. Enjoy a full game drive inside the park with chances to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a wide variety of birdlife. In the late afternoon, exit the park and transfer to a budget campsite outside Tarangire, such as Sangaiwe Public Campsite, Twiga Campsite, or similar budget accommodations. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with scenic views of the highlands and plains. Enter Serengeti in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive en route as you head toward your public campsite inside the park, such as Nyani Public Campsite or a similar site depending on availability. Experience the raw atmosphere of camping in the wilderness, with wildlife often heard nearby. Dinner and overnight at the Nyani Public campsite (or similar alternative).
