Day 2

We'll explore this scenic game reserve on a full day game drive from 7:00 am. Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular game parks in Kenya. The game park covers sprawling grasslands and the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Standing at 5896m above sea level, the snow-topped mountain forms the backdrop to game viewing in Amboseli, and the park hosts some of Kenya’s largest elephant herds. Amboseli is famous for its big elephant bulls with their impressive tusks. The park is considered one of the top game parks in Africa to get up close to elephants in the wild, as well as offer some of the finest photographic opportunities of wildlife, flanked by the scenic Mt Kilimanjaro. The park also boasts an abundance of birds, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, pelicans, African fish eagles, and falcons. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.

The journey takes you across the rolling plains of southern Kenya, with views of volcanic hills and rural landscapes along the way. By mid‑day, you arrive at your lodge inside Tsavo West, perfectly set to capture the park’s rugged beauty. After check‑in, enjoy a hearty lunch and relax before embarking on your thrilling afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is renowned for its dramatic scenery, rocky ridges, and the lush oasis of Mzima Springs, where hippos and crocodiles can be observed in crystal‑clear waters. Wildlife encounters include elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of antelopes roaming the savannah. Birdlife is abundant, with hornbills, kingfishers, and raptors soaring overhead. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge in Tsavo West National Park and begin the drive toward Tsavo East National Park, the largest park in Kenya and home to vast wilderness. The journey takes you through rugged landscapes, past volcanic hills, and into the open plains that define Tsavo East. By mid‑day, you arrive at your lodge inside the park. After check‑in, enjoy a hearty lunch and relax before heading out for your afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is famous for its red‑dust elephants, often seen in large herds, their skins stained by the park’s rich soil. You may also encounter lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and buffalo roaming the savannah. The Yatta Plateau, one of the world’s longest lava flows, forms a dramatic backdrop, while the Galana River attracts hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.
