Flight to Lalibela & Rock-Hewn Churches

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Lalibela, one of Ethiopia’s most sacred destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, begin exploring the northern group of Lalibela’s extraordinary rock-hewn churches, carved entirely from solid volcanic rock in the 12th century. Visit Bet Medhane Alem, believed to be the largest monolithic church in the world, as well as Bet Maryam, known for its beautifully preserved interior and symbolic artwork.
