Arusha National Park is a compact yet stunning park, offering both diverse wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Spot giraffes, zebras, buffalo, flamingos, and the rare colobus monkeys among the lush forests. Admire the striking landscapes, from the near-perfect volcanic cone of Mount Meru to the scenic Ngurdoto Crater, often called “Little Ngorongoro.” This park is the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to your lodge, just 45 minutes from the park, for a comfortable overnight stay.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

At 07:00 AM, depart Arusha for a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, famously called the “Home of Giants” for its enormous elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.
Once in the park, your safari adventure begins. Traverse the open plains in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and, if lucky, leopards resting in the trees. The Tarangire River attracts abundant wildlife, creating some of Tanzania’s most breathtaking scenery. With over 400 bird species, it’s also a haven for birdwatchers.
By late afternoon, arrive at your lodge. Take in spectacular sunrise and sunset views, savor a delicious dinner, and relax for the evening.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

Start your day early with a beautiful sunrise from your room, followed by breakfast. Depart the lodge at 06:50 AM and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater.
A visit to the crater is often the highlight of any safari. Stop at the rim for sweeping views before descending to the crater floor, home to an incredible variety of wildlife. Spot the critically endangered black rhino, large-tusked elephants, one of the resident lion prides, and playful spotted hyenas.
The crater itself is a natural wonder, with steep green walls enclosing open plains, a sparkling salt lake, acacia woodlands, and hippo-filled wetlands. By late afternoon, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Embark on a memorable game drive, spotting iconic tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, and a wide variety of birds around the alkaline Lake Manyara. Explore both the dense forests and open savannahs, capturing the beauty of this remarkable park.
After your game drive, begin your journey back to Arusha City, bringing your unforgettable Tanzanian safari to a close.
