Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive north to Samburu National Reserve, a journey of about 6–7 hours through scenic landscapes of arid plains and acacia-dotted hills. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, then embark on your first afternoon game drive. After an early breakfast and Early Morning game drives, drive south towards Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey of approximately 6–7 hours. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famed for its flamingo-studded waters, rhinos, and large populations of buffalo and warthogs. Capture the stunning views of the lake framed by escarpments, then retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha/Hell's gate Np

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha/Hell's gate Np

After an early morning game drives depart Nakuru in the morning and drive to Lake Naivasha, a scenic 2–3 hour drive. Upon arrival, take a boat ride on the lake to spot hippos, fish eagles, and a variety of waterbirds. After the boat ride, explore the nearby Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. In the late afternoon, head to Hell’s Gate National Park for a short drive and a chance to hike or cycle among the park’s dramatic cliffs, gorges, and geothermal features. Stay overnight at a lodge near Naivasha.
