Today, we embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park, situated in Western Uganda. Covering an area of approximately 766 km2, this park boasts lush evergreen forests. Located 320 kilometers south of Kampala, Kibale National Park is renowned for its rich biodiversity. Home to about 325 bird species, including the olive long-tailed cuckoo, Western Green tinker bird, African Grey Parrot, and Green-breasted Pitta, it is a birdwatcher's paradise.

Additionally, the park is inhabited by 13 primate species and over 60 other mammal species. One of the park's main attractions is the endangered chimpanzees. Visitors can embark on treks to observe these fascinating primates, along with other primates such as the red colobus monkey, L'Hoest's monkey, Uganda Mangabey, and the Ugandan Red Colobus. Upon arrival at the lodge/camp, a delicious lunch will be served, or alternatively, stop at a restaurant en route for a satisfying meal.

After having breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed with the safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (approximately 160 kilometers, and the estimated drive time is around 4-5 hours, depending on the road conditions), with a stopover at Ishasha Sector to go on a game drive (about 2 hours) and observe the famous tree-climbing lions.

Experience game drive through Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the vast plains of the Ishasha you will find a famous inhabitant, the tree-climbing lion. A sighting is not guaranteed, however, in the large low- hanging Fig Trees of Ishasha there are far better chances to see the lion, like in the rest of Africa.
