Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, just a short drive from Arusha city, Arusha National Park is one of Tanzania’s most diverse and scenic reserves. Though smaller than many of the country’s famous parks, it offers an astonishing variety of landscapes and wildlife, making it a true hidden gem for day trips and short safaris. On this day you will have a short guided walking tour.
The park is often described as a “miniature Tanzania” because it brings together multiple ecosystems in one compact area. Wildlife in Arusha National Park is abundant, though the park is not known for large predators. Instead, it is home to giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, bushbucks, and the rare black‑and‑white colobus monkey, which can often be seen leaping through the montane forests. This makes the park ideal for relaxed game viewing without the intensity of predator encounters.
