Addis Ababa – Awash-AliDegh Wildlife Reserve

Early morning departure from Addis Ababa, driving east through the scenic Rift Valley landscapes toward Awash National Park and AliDegh Wildlife Reserve, one of Ethiopia’s most important lowland conservation areas.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided game drive across the open plains of Awash and Ali Degh, home to large herds of Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Soemmerring’s gazelle, gerenuk, and other plains wildlife. The reserve is also excellent for birdwatching, with numerous savanna and dry-land species.

After the game drive, continue Doho Lodge, beautifully set amid palm trees near natural hot springs.

Doho Lodge– Addis Ababa

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning at Doho Lodge. Guests may choose to take an optional nature walk around the lodge area, surrounded by palm trees, natural hot springs, and rich birdlife.

Later, visit a nearby Afar village to learn about the traditional pastoral lifestyle, customs, and daily life of the Afar people. This cultural experience is conducted respectfully and provides meaningful interaction with the local community.

Before lunch, begin the scenic drive back to Addis Ababa, with short stops along the way for photography and refreshments. Arrival in the afternoon marks the end of the tour.
