2-Day Murchison Falls Budget Tour

Your journey begins early in the morning with a pick‑up from Kampala at 6:30 AM. You’ll head north towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a three‑hour drive that takes you through the Ugandan countryside. At Ziwa, rangers will guide you walking to track rhinos in their natural habitat, an unforgettable conservation experience. Afterward, the trip continues to Murchison Falls National Park, about two and a half hours away. On arrival, you’ll hike to the Top of the Falls to witness the Nile forcing its way through a narrow gorge before plunging into the valley below. As evening approaches, you’ll settle into a budget campsite such as Red Chilli Rest Camp, enjoy dinner, and spend the night under canvas with the sounds of the wild around you.

Game drive and boat cruise

At sunrise, you’ll cross to the northern bank of the park for a game drive. The open savannah offers chances to see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and antelopes as they begin their day. Returning to camp, you’ll have brunch and prepare for departure. In the afternoon, a boat safari along the Nile takes you to the base of Murchison Falls, where hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife thrive along the riverbanks. After the cruise, you’ll begin the journey back to Kampala, arriving in the evening around 7:00 PM, with drop‑off at your hotel or chosen meeting point.
