Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our team and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to enjoy a city tour of Arusha, with possible visits to the famous Cultural Heritage Art Gallery, lively local markets, and the colorful Maasai Market—an ideal place to find memorable souvenirs.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel at around 8:00 a.m. for a scenic two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant herds and impressive baobab trees, some of the biggest in Africa.
Game drives are conducted in an open-roof safari vehicle, allowing you to fully appreciate the park’s diverse landscapes, which include open savannahs, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River—an important water source that attracts abundant wildlife. Sightings may include elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, warthogs, lions, leopards, and more than 500 species of birds.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at the Matete picnic site with views overlooking the river, followed by an afternoon game drive. Later in the day, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, accompanied by the peaceful sounds of the surrounding wilderness.

After an early breakfast at your lodge near Lake Manyara, set off for Ngorongoro Crater, arriving at the entrance by mid-morning. Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive in one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife areas.
Discover the crater floor, which is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and—if fortunate—the rare black rhino. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic location within the crater.
Following the game drive, ascend from the crater and continue on a scenic afternoon drive to Ndutu, arriving at your lodge in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, followed by a full day of exciting wildlife viewing. The Ndutu region lies in the northern section of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and extends into the unfenced southern plains of Serengeti National Park, creating a unique and seamless wildlife ecosystem where the two iconic areas meet.
One of the most rewarding game-viewing areas in Ndutu is Lake Ndutu, which attracts large concentrations of animals as an essential water source. The lake shares its drainage basin with nearby Lake Masek, located just east of Ndutu within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
For a truly memorable experience, a hot air balloon safari can be added at an additional cost, offering a spectacular aerial view of the landscape and wildlife during the early morning hours.

After an early breakfast, spend the morning exploring the Ndutu area within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, renowned for its abundant wildlife and seasonal wildebeest migration, depending on the time of year. The open plains and woodlands provide excellent chances to spot predators alongside large herds of zebras, wildebeest, and various antelope species.
Following the game drive and lunch, continue with a scenic drive to Karatu, situated in the lush highlands just outside the Ngorongoro area. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon, with time to settle in before dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge, surrounded by the tranquil crater highlands.

After an early breakfast, set out for Lake Eyasi on a scenic drive of approximately 1.5 hours. On arrival, begin a cultural experience with a visit to the Hadzabe, one of Tanzania’s last remaining hunter-gatherer communities. You’ll take part in a short traditional hunting walk and learn about their distinctive lifestyle and survival skills.
Continue with a visit to the Datoga tribe, well known for their traditional blacksmithing and strong cultural heritage. Observe their metalworking techniques and gain insight into their everyday life.
After this rewarding morning, enjoy lunch in the area before starting the drive back to Arusha in the early afternoon, arriving in the evening.
