Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Today marks the start of your safari adventure! After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from the lodge at 8:00 a.m. and driven for two hours to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. From the open-roof vehicle, explore seasonal swamps, savannahs, and the Tarangire River, spotting wildlife from giraffes and zebras to lions, leopards, and countless bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint before continuing game viewing on your way to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater

Prepare for an early start at 6:00 a.m. as you board the safari vehicle and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater with a packed breakfast. This stunning conservation area is home to a wide variety of East African wildlife, including the rare black rhino, which you may be lucky enough to see. Covering roughly 20 km in diameter, you’ll spend five to six hours exploring the crater’s remarkable landscapes.
