Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you are collected from your Arusha lodge by a private safari guide and begin the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, crossing rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. Along the route, Maasai people in colorful dress can be seen walking roadside, cycling, herding cattle, and guiding donkey carts. Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting game drive from the open roof of your safari vehicle while exploring open savanna, seasonal swamps, and the life sustaining Tarangire River. The park is well known for its large elephant herds and remarkable wildlife diversity, with chances to spot zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffe, and elephants. With luck, lions may be seen stalking prey or leopards resting in the trees. After a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, you depart for a comfortable mid range lodge to enjoy a relaxing dinner in a pleasant restaurant and unwind in a spacious room, reflecting on the days unforgettable safari experiences.

Ngorongoro Crater

Rise early for a morning departure to the green highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today’s highlight is the renowned Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders. Upon reaching the rim, you descend into the 600-meter-deep caldera to explore its rich grasslands, lake, and diverse wildlife. The crater supports over 25,000 mammals, including the Big Five, spotted hyenas, and more than 500 bird species. After an extended game drive and a picnic lunch on the crater floor, you will continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

Lake Manyara to Stone Town

After breakfast, you set off for the final stop of this unforgettable safari, Lake Manyara National Park, located about 120 km west of Arusha. Though relatively small, the park is remarkably diverse and centered around a shallow alkaline lake that expands and recedes with the seasons. The lake attracts thousands of flamingos and more than 500 bird species. During your game drive, you may spot monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and elephants, and with luck, the famous tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara is celebrated for its varied scenery, ranging from open plains to dense woodlands and baobab-lined cliffs. After lunch, you return to Arusha in the late afternoon to connect with your flight to Zanzibar.
