Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your Professional Safari Africa guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast and drive you to Tarangire National Park. The journey takes approximately two and a half hours on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, also known as the “river of warthogs,” which serves as the only water source for wildlife in the area during the dry season.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering near the river. You may also spot giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, all closely followed by predators such as lions and leopards. The park hosts more breeding bird species than anywhere else on Earth, and its massive ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old, are a spectacular sight.
Lunch will be served at a picnic site inside the park. After your game drive, you will continue to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. At first sight, Ngorongoro Crater feels like a hidden world. Encircled by steep volcanic walls lies a pristine wilderness of sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodland, and sparkling lakes and swamps. Formed when a massive volcano collapsed two to three million years ago, the crater covers 260 sq km.
Renowned for both its geological wonders and its incredibly dense wildlife populations, the crater offers an unparalleled safari experience. Upon descending into the caldera, you’ll encounter large numbers of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 bird species. The area also provides one of the best opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino.

Day 4
Serengeti National Park to Karatu
Serengeti National Park to Karatu
The Serengeti is truly breathtaking, renowned for its vast open grasslands that offer exceptional wildlife viewing. Its climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. While home to abundant wildlife, the Serengeti is most famous for the annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, along with large numbers of zebras and antelopes, move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. The migration occurs throughout the year, depending on the location, so knowing the best areas to visit is key.
Beyond the migrating herds, the park provides excellent opportunities to spot predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, set against its iconic, unspoiled landscapes—a truly life-changing experience.
In the afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Karatu, enjoying more of the Serengeti’s wonders along the way.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet remarkably diverse reserve located 120 km west of Arusha. The park is compact—one of Africa’s narrowest—yet dramatic, with the Great Rift Escarpment towering over its western boundary. Its namesake is a shallow, seasonal salt lake, attracting thousands of wading birds, including flamingos, and over 500 other bird species. You may also encounter baboons, elephants in the thick evergreen forest, and the famous tree-climbing lions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park. After your game drive, you will bid farewell to your guide and be dropped off at your preferred location, such as Arusha town, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport. We hope you have cherished every moment of your adventure.
