Leave Nairobi at 7:00 am and enjoy a scenic drive through the cool, green highlands of central Kenya, where the landscape slowly rises and the roads wind through beautiful countryside. If the weather allows, you may catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Kenya. Stop at the Equator for photos and a short break, then continue north as the scenery transforms into open wilderness and rugged shrubland. Arrive in Samburu National Reserve, a true oasis in the dry northern landscape, just in time for lunch at your lodge. After some time to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities, head out for an evening game drive where you may spot the famous Samburu Special Five and enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the arid plains. Return to the lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

You’ll have a few stops along the way to stretch your legs and take in the scenery, arriving in Nairobi later in the day with wonderful memories of your Samburu adventure.
