Day 1

Today arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport with morning or afternoon flight, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

The main task here is to inspect our bicycles, everyone will have enough time to familiarize with his or her bicycle so that each of you to be comfortable for riding the next day.

Day 2

Ride to Arusha National Park

Ride to Arusha National Park

After a light and delicious breakfast, begin a full cycling day covering approximately 44 km from the lodge to a Maasai steppe village located between the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru. The route passes through Arusha National Park and surrounding local villages, offering a mix of nature and culture. The first 7 km to Ngongongare Gate follow a smooth tarmac road, followed by a 15 km ride through Arusha National Park on a rough but scenic track.

Here, cycle through cool montane forests with chances to see wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, and the endemic black-and-white colobus monkeys, as well as rich birdlife. On clear days, enjoy impressive views of Mount Meru. After exiting at Nasula Gate, continue to Ngarenanyuki Village, the final section crosses open savannah on gravel roads, passing Maasai bomas and schools before arriving at Osiligilai Maasai Lodge. After completing the ride, relax with a shower, swimming pool, or optional sauna or massage.

Day 3

Ride to Kambi ya Tembo

Ride to Kambi ya Tembo

Wake up early in the heart of the Maasai Steppe, perfectly positioned between Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, to enjoy a spectacular sunrise over Kilimanjaro accompanied by birdsong and cool morning breezes. After breakfast at the lodge, begin a scenic cycling journey to the western Kilimanjaro area known as Kambi ya Tembo. The ride covers approximately 39 km from Osiligilai Maasai Lodge to Simba Farm Lodge.

The first 14 km follow a rough road leading to the Londorosi Gate main road, while the remaining 25 km are on tarmac with moderate hills and some steep sections. En route, pass through local villages including Magadini, Ngare Nairobi, and Matadi, with planned stops for refreshments and snacks. The landscape features expansive wheat plantations and rural village life. Upon arrival at Simba Farm Lodge, relax and rest, with an optional short evening ride nearby if time allows.

Day 4

After breakfast, depart Simba Farm Lodge and begin by drive to the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands. Continue to Empakai Rim, where you will spend the day enjoying the surroundings, with an optional guided walk down to Empakai Crater if weather conditions allow.

After breakfast, the day’s main activity will be a guided walk to Bulati Village, allowing you to experience the natural environment at a relaxed pace. Upon arrival, you will set up camp in the heart of Maasai land and spend the rest of the day interacting with the local community, learning about their traditions, daily life, and culture. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to understand the Maasai way of living before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay under the African sky.

Day 6

Trekking to Olmoti Crater

Trekking to Olmoti Crater

Another sunrise in the middle of Maasai land, we will trek to Olmoti the trekking will be more adventurous, in the late afternoon we will descent down to Olmoti Crater, and we will ascend the crater our stop will be at Olmoti on Camping Basis on Full Board Basis. The distance is 15km which takes 5 to 6 hours walking.

Drive to Northern Serengeti Migration

Drive to Northern Serengeti Migration

After a leisure breakfast and a relaxed start to the day, you will drive toward the Northern Serengeti, enjoying an en-route game drive as you traverse the vast plains. This region is renowned for the Great Migration, especially from August to September, when thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles gather near the Mara River in search of fresh grazing. With patience and luck, you may witness dramatic river crossings, where herds brave strong currents and predators in one of nature’s most iconic spectacles.

The Northern Serengeti also offers excellent year-round wildlife viewing, including large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, and a wide variety of birdlife. Scenic riverine forests and open savannah provide outstanding photographic opportunities throughout the day. All meals will be provided as you immerse yourself in this remarkable wilderness experience.

Begin your full day for game viewing in the park, with morning and afternoon game-drives as well as with picnic lunch. On this day, you may wish to take a picnic lunch and go for the whole day en route according to game locations OR return to the lodge for a hot lunch and go out again. (Game viewing is best in the early morning and late afternoon when animals are active). End of the day transfer to lodge for dinner and overnight.

You will then depart Karatu and begin a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands and surrounding countryside toward Kilimanjaro International Airport. Along the way, enjoy views of local villages, farmlands, and rolling landscapes that provide a final glimpse of Tanzania’s rich culture and natural beauty. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be assisted with check-in procedures for your departure flight, marking the end of your safari and adventure experience.
