Welcome to Tanzania, where connection and interaction are part of everyday life.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari representative and transferred on a scenic one-hour drive to Gold Crest Hotel in Arusha. Along the way, depending on your arrival time, you may observe local residents going about their daily activities. If something catches your interest, feel free to ask your guide to pause so you can take it in.

You will check in at the lodge at a convenient time, allowing you to relax, freshen up, and enjoy dinner. Settle in for an overnight stay and get ready for the cultural and wildlife experiences that await you starting the next day.

Day 2

Mto Wa Mbu

Mto Wa Mbu

After breakfast, meet your guide at the lodge for a short safari briefing before driving approximately 2.5 hours to a Maasai village in Mto wa Mbu. There, you will be warmly welcomed with traditional songs and dances and spend time learning about Maasai culture and daily life through stories and interaction.

Later, enjoy a local lunch in Mto wa Mbu, sampling authentic African dishes, followed by cultural activities that showcase the traditions of various Tanzanian tribes. These include a market visit, local plantations, and a banana brewery, where you can taste traditional beer.

In the late afternoon, continue to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, drive into the cool highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop to admire the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, before continuing to the southern entrance of Serengeti National Park.

The Serengeti’s vast open plains offer exceptional wildlife viewing and are famed for the Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope, which you may witness depending on the season. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day, then settle in for dinner and an overnight stay at a tented camp in the Central Serengeti.

You may encounter impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Depending on the movement of the Great Migration, you may venture beyond the Central Serengeti to witness this remarkable natural spectacle—an experience that is truly unforgettable.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater—often called the “Garden of Eden”—is one of the best places to do so.

After breakfast at the lodge, travel to Ngorongoro Crater and descend from the rim to the crater floor, enjoying spectacular scenery along the way. The crater’s rich water sources support diverse wildlife and over 500 bird species. Enjoy game drives in search of the Big Five—elephants, buffalo, rhinos, leopards, and lions—along with eland, zebras, gazelles, and hyenas.

A picnic lunch will be served near the hippo pool, followed by an afternoon game drive. Later, continue to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6

Hadzabe & Datoga Tribes

Hadzabe & Datoga Tribes

Today offers a unique opportunity to interact with the Hadzabe Bushmen and the Datoga people.

After breakfast, drive to the Hadzabe and Datoga villages. Spend time with the Hadzabe, joining them on a traditional hunting experience that may include bushwalking, honey gathering, and learning survival skills as they share their ancient way of life. Later, visit the neighboring Datoga community—pastoralists and skilled blacksmiths known for crafting tools, jewelry, and swords—who will introduce you to their daily traditions.

After lunch and a short rest, continue to Ngorongoro Forest for a guided nature walk to the Endoro Elephant Caves and waterfalls. In the evening, return to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay.
