Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Nairobi or the airport, followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at a viewpoint for photos. You’ll arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park late morning and proceed straight into the park for a game drive en route to your lodge. After checking in and enjoying lunch, you’ll head out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its rhinos, both black and white, as well as lions, leopards, buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, and a wide variety of birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans. The game drive takes you around the lake shores and acacia woodlands, offering excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities. In the evening, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you’ll check out and enjoy a short morning game drive as you exit Lake Nakuru National Park, making the most of your final wildlife sightings. You’ll then drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving around midday. After lunch, you’ll head out for a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you’ll spot hippos, fish eagles, and other water birds while enjoying beautiful lake views. The boat ride takes you to Crescent Island, where you’ll enjoy a guided walking safari among freely roaming giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and antelopes, with no predators present. This peaceful walk offers a unique up-close wildlife experience and excellent photo opportunities. Later in the afternoon, you’ll transfer to your lodge or hotel in Naivasha for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Naivasha back to Nairobi

After breakfast, you’ll check out and head to Hell’s Gate National Park for an exciting morning of exploration. The park is known for its dramatic landscapes, towering cliffs, geothermal features, and wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and warthogs. You’ll have the option to explore the park by vehicle, on foot, or by cycling, visiting key attractions such as the Hell’s Gate Gorge, Fischer’s Tower, and the geothermal spa area. After the visit, you’ll begin the drive back to Nairobi, with a stop for lunch along the way. You’ll arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon or early evening and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of a memorable Rift Valley safari experience.
