Nairobi CBD - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be met by a Marula Horizon Safaris representative in Nairobi’s Central Business District or at the City Market for a warm welcome and briefing before your safari adventure begins. After joining your group, the journey to Masai Mara departs at 7:30 AM, with scenic stopovers along the way to stretch, take photos, and enjoy refreshments. Upon arrival, you will check in at RHNO Tourist Camp (or a similar camp) for a hearty lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on an exciting game drive across the vast savannahs of Masai Mara. Keep an eye out for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. As the sun sets, return to the camp to relax, enjoy dinner, and soak in the magical sounds and sights of the Mara. Hotel or airport transfers can also be arranged at an extra cost.

Masai Mara Game Viewing

After breakfast, embark on a full day of guided game drives in the Masai Mara. From July to October, witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration, following thousands of wildebeest and zebras as they traverse the plains, alongside lions, cheetahs, and other predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, taking in the stunning savannah views, before continuing your afternoon drive to spot the Big Five and a variety of other wildlife.

For an unforgettable experience, you can optionally take a hot air balloon safari at sunrise, floating over the Mara plains for a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the wildlife and landscape. Return to your comfortable camping facilities in the late afternoon to relax and enjoy dinner, reflecting on a day filled with adventure and incredible sightings.
