Day 1

Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Early morning, you will be transferred from your Zanzibar hotel to the airport for your scheduled flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal Tarangire River, which attracts many animals such as lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Enjoy an extensive game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge or tented camp for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

Day 2

Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic views of the highlands along the way. Upon arrival, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The crater floor supports a high concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhino in a single day. You will enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch near the hippo pool. Later in the afternoon, ascend the crater and proceed to your lodge on the crater rim or nearby highlands for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha – Zanzibar

After breakfast, depart from Ngorongoro and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet diverse park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its lush groundwater forest, open savannah, alkaline lake, and rich birdlife including flamingos, pelicans, and storks.

Enjoy a scenic game drive where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, hippos, baboons, and the renowned tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, enjoy lunch before continuing to Arusha. Later, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your safari in Zanzibar.
