Day 1

Depart Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park for your first safari experience. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife concentrated along the Tarangire River. Enjoy an extensive game drive, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and abundant birdlife. The park’s open landscapes and quieter atmosphere provide an excellent introduction to Tanzania’s wilderness. In the late afternoon, exit the park and continue to Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and an overnight stay at your comfort lodge.

Day 2
Karatu – Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Central Serengeti, enjoying scenic highland views before descending onto the vast savannah plains. Upon entering Serengeti National Park, begin game viewing immediately. Central Serengeti, also known as Seronera, is rich in resident wildlife and famous for year-round predator activity. Expect to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of plains game. Spend the afternoon on a game drive before heading to your lodge or camp in Central Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Central Serengeti – North Serengeti

Following breakfast, depart Central Serengeti and journey northward toward the remote and scenic Northern Serengeti. This region is characterized by rolling hills, woodlands, and the Mara River, a key area during the Great Migration season. Enjoy game drives en route, with opportunities to encounter predators, elephants, and large herbivore herds. During migration months, you may witness dramatic river crossings. Arrive in North Serengeti in the late afternoon and settle into your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight, surrounded by pristine wilderness.

Central Serengeti’s permanent water sources attract wildlife throughout the year, making it ideal for extended game viewing. Spend the afternoon exploring the Seronera Valley and surrounding plains, known for excellent big cat encounters. In the evening, arrive at your lodge or camp in Central Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Central Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast, depart Central Serengeti with a game drive en route toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most wildlife-dense areas. The crater floor supports elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, flamingos, and the endangered black rhino within a dramatic volcanic landscape. Enjoy a comprehensive game drive and picnic lunch before ascending the crater. Continue to your lodge in the Ngorongoro or Karatu area for dinner and overnight.
