Arusha is a lively and bustling town set beneath the slopes of Mount Meru and serves as the gateway to Tanzania’s famous northern safari circuit. It is an essential hub of safari life, where travelers, guides, and safari vehicles converge before venturing into the wilderness. Most visitors pass through Arusha at some stage of their journey, making it an important and vibrant introduction to northern Tanzania. Rest well tonight—your safari adventure begins tomorrow.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant herds, abundant wildlife, and iconic ancient baobab trees. The Tarangire River, known as the “river of warthogs,” attracts animals during the dry season, offering excellent opportunities to see giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and predators like lions and leopards. The park is also a haven for birdwatchers, with more breeding bird species than anywhere else in the world.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon game drive, then travel to Karatu for the night at Eileen’s Trees Inn, a comfortable lodge set among lush gardens.

After breakfast, you will travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping to admire the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, before entering Serengeti National Park from the south. The Serengeti is famous for its vast open grasslands, abundant wildlife, and the incredible Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope.
You will enjoy game viewing as you make your way to your accommodation for the next three nights at Serengeti Queens Camp, perfectly located to maximize wildlife encounters.

Day 4

Today is dedicated to full-day game drives in the Serengeti. The park is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos. You also have excellent chances of spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards against the Serengeti’s iconic landscapes. Depending on the movement of the Great Migration, you may travel beyond the Central Serengeti to witness this extraordinary natural event. It is truly a life-changing experience.

Today is another full day of game drives in the Serengeti, with the option to enjoy a more relaxed pace. You may take part in early morning and late afternoon drives, enjoying a packed lunch in the park along the way. Every day in the Serengeti is unique, offering new wildlife encounters and endless opportunities for exploration.

Day 6
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Your final sunrise in the Serengeti marks the start of today’s adventure. After breakfast, you will drive toward Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way.
Ngorongoro Crater, formed when a massive volcano collapsed two to three million years ago, is a pristine wilderness featuring sweeping savannahs, acacia woodlands, glistening lakes, and swamps. The drive down into the crater is an experience in itself. Once on the crater floor, you’ll encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The crater is also one of the best places to spot the endangered black rhino in its natural habitat.
After a full day of exploration and game viewing, you will drive to your accommodation in Karatu for a restful evening.

Day 7
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
This morning, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, the final stop on your epic safari. Although small, Manyara is incredibly diverse and lies 120 km west of Arusha. The park combines intimate landscapes with grand vistas—the towering Great Rift Escarpment rises above the park’s western edge, while the shallow, seasonal Lake Manyara stretches across the valley, attracting thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other species.
In addition to the lake, you may spot baboons and elephants within the thick evergreen forests, and keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park during your game drive.
