Arrive in the morning at Arba Minch Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide. After a brief introduction and luggage assistance, begin a scenic drive into the lush highlands of Chencha, ascending through winding roads with beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes.
Upon arrival at Dorze Village, immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the Dorze people, renowned for their impressive towering bamboo huts, some reaching over 10 meters in height.
During your visit, gain insight into the Dorze way of life, including traditional cotton weaving, food preparation such as the making of kocho from false banana plants, and daily rural activities. You will have the opportunity to interact with local community members, observe traditional craftsmanship, and learn about their sustainable lifestyle. The visit also offers excellent photo opportunities, complemented by spectacular views over the Rift Valley escarpment.

After breakfast, depart and drive south toward Turmi, passing through scenic countryside dotted with rural villages, open savannah, and dramatic landscapes characteristic of southern Ethiopia. The journey offers insight into everyday life along the route, with chances to observe local communities, livestock herders, and traditional markets depending on the day.
En route, visit the Mursi tribe in the Key Afer area, one of Ethiopia’s most iconic ethnic groups. The Mursi are well known for their distinctive lip plates, body scarification, and strong cultural identity.
Continue the drive to Turmi, the heartland of the Hamar people. In the afternoon, visit a Hamar village, where you will be introduced to their rich cultural traditions, including elaborate hairstyles, body decoration with ochre and butter, and unique social customs.

In the morning, depart for a visit to the Karo tribe villages, dramatically perched on high bluffs overlooking the Omo River. Renowned for their striking artistic body painting, the Karo people decorate themselves with natural pigments, chalk, and minerals in intricate patterns used for ceremonies, celebrations, and daily expression. During your visit, learn about their cultural traditions, river-based livelihood, and social customs, while enjoying exceptional photographic opportunities framed by the sweeping views of the Omo Valley below.
After the visit, continue your journey toward Konso, traveling through varied landscapes and traditional settlements. En route, stop to visit the Bena tribe, easily recognized by their vibrant attire, elaborate beadwork, and distinctive hairstyles. Day 4

In the morning, explore the Konso Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its outstanding example of a living cultural tradition and sustainable land management. Visit the impressive stone terracing systems, ingeniously constructed over centuries to prevent soil erosion and support agriculture in the semi-arid highlands.
Continue to a traditional fortified Konso village (paleta), where narrow pathways, stone walls, and communal spaces reflect a strong social organization and defensive architecture. Learn about Konso governance systems, age-grade traditions, and daily life from your guide.
You will also see the distinctive Waga wooden grave markers, carved to commemorate respected clan leaders and heroes. These expressive sculptures symbolize ancestry, leadership, and the continuity of Konso heritage across generations.
Later in the day, drive back to Arba Minch, enjoying scenic views along the route. Upon arrival, transfer to Arba Minch Airport.
