Malindi to Tsavo East – Afternoon Game Drive

Pick up from your hotel in Malindi at around 08:30 hrs and begin your drive inland toward Tsavo East National Park, passing rural villages, coastal farmlands, and the scenic Galana River region.

Enter the park through Sala Gate, where your first wildlife sightings begin. Enjoy a short highlight game drive en route to your lodge.

Check in at Avid Lodge, Voi, for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive until evening, exploring Tsavo East’s open plains and wildlife-rich areas, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and buffalo. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Voi to Amboseli – Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, depart Tsavo East around 08:00 hrs and drive toward Amboseli National Park, arriving before midday. Check in at your lodge, enjoy an early lunch, and relax before the afternoon game drive.

February is an excellent month for wildlife viewing in Amboseli, as animals concentrate around the southern marshlands, fed by underground springs from Mount Kilimanjaro. This natural gathering ensures high chances of spotting large herds of elephants, lions, cheetahs, and other plains game.

Spend the afternoon exploring the park’s wildlife-rich hotspots and enjoy spectacular sunset views over the plains with Kilimanjaro in the background. Optional: on day two, guests may opt for an easy hike to Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and surrounding landscapes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning Game Drive and Return to Malindi

Enjoy a pre-breakfast sunrise game drive in Amboseli for one last chance to spot wildlife in the early hours when activity is highest. Return to camp for breakfast, check out, and begin your journey back to Malindi.

Stop for lunch in Voi before continuing to the coast, arriving in Malindi in the late evening.
