Nairobi to Maasai Mara - Scenic Drive

You will be picked up early in the morning from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or the airport and depart for the Maasai Mara. The journey takes you through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for optional photos and a short break. You will continue to the Maasai Mara region, arriving around midday for check-in at your camp, followed by lunch. The early afternoon is free for rest.

In the late afternoon, you will visit a nearby Maasai cultural village to learn about the community’s traditional lifestyle, including their customs, dressing, housing, and daily routines. A local guide will share insights into how these traditions are maintained today, with opportunities to observe cultural dances, visit homesteads, and ask questions.

After the visit, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve

Start the day early with breakfast at the camp, then head straight out for a game drive across the Maasai Mara. Explore the reserve’s open savannah and riverine areas, with opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and other wildlife.

The game drive concludes around 2:00 PM, after which you will depart the Maasai Mara and begin the drive back to Nairobi. A stop for lunch (self-sponsored) in Narok town breaks the journey and allows time to stretch and refresh. After lunch, continue through the scenic Great Rift Valley and arrive in Nairobi in the evening for drop-off at your hotel, residence, or airport, marking the end of your safari.
