Kigali Arrival & Cultural Experience at Gorilla Guardians Village

You will be picked up from Kigali (hotel or airport) and begin a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, passing through Rwanda’s rolling hills and rural landscapes. Upon arrival in Musanze, you will visit the Gorilla Guardians Village, a community-based cultural center where you will experience traditional Rwandan life through dance performances, local crafts, storytelling, and insights into conservation and former poaching traditions. After the visit, you will transfer to your lodge near the park for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay as you prepare for the gorilla trekking adventure the following day.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early for breakfast and head into Volcanoes National Park for a full-day gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced park rangers and trackers, you will hike through lush bamboo forests, volcanic landscapes, and misty rainforests in search of a family of mountain gorillas. Golden Monkey Trekking & Return to Kigali

After an early breakfast, embark on a Golden Monkey trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will hike through the park’s bamboo and rainforest habitats to encounter the playful golden monkeys, observing their social behavior and vibrant colors in their natural environment.

Following the trek, you will check out from your lodge and begin the scenic drive back to Kigali, with opportunities to enjoy Rwanda’s rolling hills and picturesque landscapes along the way. Arrive in Kigali in the afternoon or evening, concluding your 3-day Rwandan gorilla and wildlife adventure.
