Your safari adventure begins today. After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your lodge and drive approximately two hours to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive in an open-roof safari vehicle as you explore seasonal swamps, open savannahs, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River. Along the way, you may spot giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, elephants, and a wide variety of birdlife. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot inside the park, followed by further game viewing. In the evening, you’ll transfer to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will depart from your accommodation and drive toward Lake Eyasi, a scenic journey through the Great Rift Valley area, passing local villages and beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival near the lake, you will visit the Datoga tribe, one of Tanzania’s traditional pastoralist communities.

During the visit, you will have the opportunity to observe and learn about the Datoga’s traditional way of life, including their cattle-herding culture and strong community values. A highlight of the experience is witnessing their blacksmithing skills, where they craft tools and jewellery using age-old techniques passed down through generations. Your guide will also explain their customs, beliefs, and daily routines, offering an authentic cultural insight later drive to your accommodation for overnight stay.

Early in the morning, you will set out to join the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. Accompanied by experienced Hadzabe hunters, you will take part in a traditional hunting experience, learning how they track animals, use handmade bows and arrows, and rely on deep knowledge of nature for survival. This early morning activity offers a rare and authentic insight into their daily life, survival skills, and close relationship with the land.

After the hunting experience, you will return for breakfast and then begin your drive toward the Ndutu area, located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem. The journey takes you through open savannah and seasonal lake landscapes, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Upon arrival in Ndutu, you will continue with an en-route game drive, exploring this wildlife-rich region, which is especially famous for the Great Migration, before heading to your accommodation for the evening.

After breakfast, depart for Materuni Village, located on the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walk through banana and coffee plantations while your local guide explains the Chagga culture, traditional farming practices, and village life.

You will then hike to the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls, surrounded by tropical forest. Here you can relax, take photos, and enjoy the fresh mountain air and scenic views.

After the hike, return to the village for a local traditional lunch, freshly prepared using local ingredients. Following lunch, you will take part in an interactive coffee-making experience, where you will learn how coffee is processed traditionally from drying and roasting the beans to grinding and brewing ending with a chance to taste the freshly made coffee.
Later in the afternoon, you will drive to the airport for drop-off, marking the end of your memorable cultural and nature experience in Tanzania.
