Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
This morning, you will be collected from the airport/ hotel and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park. Often described as one of Tanzania’s hidden treasures, it offers a peaceful and uncrowded wilderness experience, making it ideal for travelers who appreciate nature in its raw and tranquil form. The park is named after the Tarangire River, a vital lifeline that attracts wildlife throughout the dry season.
The scenery is unlike anywhere else in the northern safari circuit. The landscape features ancient baobab trees, scattered termite mounds, and wide-open plains. During the dry months, the land takes on warm, earthy tones, while the rainy season transforms it into lush greenery with tall grasses and thick vegetation. The park is particularly renowned for its impressive elephant herds, often seen roaming.
In the evening, you will head to your camping site located outside the park, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night.
