This evening is intentionally relaxed, giving you the chance to rest, recover from travel, and recharge before your safari begins. Tomorrow, you’ll set out into Kenya’s remarkable landscapes and wildlife regions, marking the true start of your Great Migration journey.

Travel to Lake Naivasha for a scenic boat safari, gliding past hippos, fish eagles, and vibrant waterbirds as you enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Rift Valley. Continue onward to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at your lodge for lunch and time to rest while taking in views of the surrounding woodlands and open plains. Later in the afternoon, set out on a game drive through this rhino-rich sanctuary, known for both black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, flamingos, buffalo, and occasional sightings of lions and leopards.

That evening, Dr. Matt Jensen will host a Welcome to Africa Inspire & Explore presentation, setting the tone for the safari ahead. This opening talk invites you to slow down, embrace the journey, and experience Africa with deeper awareness, gratitude, and a renewed sense of wonder.

Journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy for two full days of exploration in one of Kenya’s leading conservation areas. Enjoy multiple game drives across this wildlife-rich landscape, home to elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, and abundant plains game. Visit the rhino sanctuary to witness frontline conservation efforts, explore the chimpanzee sanctuary to learn about rescued and rehabilitated primates, and stop at hippo pools where these massive animals gather along the water’s edge.

During your visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary, Dr. Jensen will lead a short reflective talk focused on compassion, stewardship, and the responsibility to protect endangered species. On your second evening, enjoy an Inspire & Explore presentation, adding insight, storytelling, and deeper meaning to your conservation-focused safari experience.

Continue north into the rugged beauty of Samburu National Park, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch and rest before an afternoon game drive through this striking semi-arid wilderness. Samburu is known for its dramatic landscapes and unique wildlife species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and large elephant herds.

The following day features both morning and afternoon game drives along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where wildlife gathers to drink in the heat of the day. One evening, Dr. Jensen will host an Inspire & Explore presentation at camp, with the Ewaso Nyiro River as a stunning natural backdrop, adding reflection and inspiration to your Samburu experience.

The highlight of your journey begins with a short bush flight to the legendary Masai Mara. Upon arrival, transfer to your safari camp, ideally located near the Mara River—one of the best places in Africa to witness the Great Migration and dramatic river crossings as wildebeest and zebra brave crocodile-filled waters.

Over the next three days, enjoy immersive game drives focused on migration viewing, predator activity, and the incredible density of wildlife across the Mara’s sweeping plains.
