Day 1

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Early in the morning, the driver will pick you up from your hotel or airport and brief you before heading out to Murchison Falls which is in the northern part of Uganda. Along the way, you will make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild in Uganda. You'll have a complete feel of the African Big Five mammals, as it is the rhinos, out of the Big Five that are missing in Murchison Falls National Park. Here you will go for a trek around the sanctuary on foot. You will have lunch at the sanctuary and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time and embark on an exciting road trip to Murchison Falls, arriving in the evening. After checking in at the lodge, your safari guide will lead you for the game drive in Murchison Falls National Park on the lookout for the like lions, hyenas, and leopards among others. Proceed back to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 2

Game drives and Nile cruise in Murchison Falls NP

Game drives and Nile cruise in Murchison Falls NP

Have an early breakfast, then tour the northern section of Murchison, which carries a high concentration of wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions, and leopards plus a variety of bird species. Return to your accommodation for lunch as you prepare to have a 3-hour boat trip to the base of the falls. This trip is said to be the highlight of the safari in Murchison Falls since it allows you to get up close to the animal species in the water. Cruise past huge hippo pods, crocodiles and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls.

Optionally, proceed for a hike to the top of the falls. The hike is a strenuous one but the thrill of reaching the top is unforgettable. Return to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day four begins with an early breakfast at your lodge, setting you up for an exciting morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. As the sun rises over the savannah, you explore the Kasenyi plains, where elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and prides of lions roam freely, offering unforgettable wildlife encounters. The drive immerses you in the park’s rich biodiversity, with birdlife adding vibrant color to the scenery. After returning to the lodge, lunch is served, giving you time to relax before the afternoon adventure. Later, you head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise, gliding along the waters that connect Lake Edward and Lake George. Begins with an early breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi, fueling you for one of the most memorable experiences of the safari gorilla trekking. After a briefing from the park rangers, you set off into the dense rainforest, following trails that wind through thick vegetation and mist-covered hills. The trek can take several hours depending on the gorilla family’s location, but every step brings anticipation and wonder. Finally, you encounter the gentle giants in their natural habitat, observing their behavior, interactions, and sheer presence a truly humbling and unforgettable moment. Start your day at Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful and serene spots in Uganda. Surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 small islands, this lake is Africa’s second deepest and completely free of crocodiles and hippos, making it ideal for a peaceful experience. If interested you can go on an optional canoe/boat trek where you'll embark on a boat adventure to explore some of these islands, taking in the stunning scenery and getting a glimpse of local life along the lakeshore.
After, begin your journey back to Entebbe. Arrive in the evening and transfer to the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your incredible 7-day adventure.
