Day 1

After an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha, depart by 4x4 safari vehicle for Tarangire National Park, a drive of approximately 2–3 hours. Upon arrival, begin a full game drive through the park, known for its dramatic scenery and high wildlife density.

Tarangire is especially famous for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which acts as a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season. Game viewing may include elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, warthogs, and predators such as lions and leopards. Birdlife is abundant, with over 500 species recorded.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing the afternoon game drive. Later, exit the park and transfer a Budget Camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart toward Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley, volcanic highlands, and traditional Maasai grazing lands, providing a rich cultural and scenic experience en route.

Upon entering Serengeti National Park, game viewing begins immediately. You will enjoy an en-route game drive toward the central Serengeti (Seronera area), renowned for its permanent water sources and high concentration of wildlife year-round.

After an early breakfast, depart for a full day of game drives within Serengeti National Park. This extended exploration allows you to reach different habitats and follow wildlife movements depending on the season.

The Serengeti ecosystem supports an exceptional diversity of animals, including elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas, and large prides of lions. Depending on the time of year, you may encounter sections of the Great Migration, involving vast herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains.

The crater floor supports an extraordinary concentration of animals, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and flamingos at the soda lake. With some luck, you may also spot the rare black rhinoceros. The enclosed ecosystem offers excellent game viewing within a relatively small area.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending in the afternoon and driving to a budget camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Despite its compact size, the park is known for its diverse habitats, including groundwater forest, open grasslands, and the alkaline lake itself.

Wildlife highlights may include elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, baboons, and a wide variety of bird species, particularly flamingos and other waterbirds. Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, though sightings depend on luck and timing.
