On arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), you’ll be welcomed by a our safari guide smart stationed in Munda Africa Adventure uniform and set off on an overland journey into Uganda’s wild southwest. This approximately 7-hour road expedition is a scenic adventure in itself, cutting through lush tropical rainforests, open savannah landscapes, and the dramatic terraced hills of Kigezi—often called the Switzerland of East Africa.

Arriving at the edge of the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, you’ll check in at your lodge before diving straight into a Batwa community experience, where you’ll explore the ancient survival traditions of Uganda’s original forest dwellers. As the day winds down, relax at the lodge, surrounded by rainforest sounds, and prepare for the thrilling adventure that awaits the following day.

After an early breakfast, set off for a ranger briefing before plunging into the misty rainforest with expert guides and trackers in search of mountain gorillas. The trek can last 1–6 hours, climbing rugged, muddy terrain at elevations above 7,500 feet—a true wilderness challenge. The reward is an unforgettable, close-up encounter with these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, exit the forest and transfer to the scenic highlands of Lake Bunyonyi to unwind after the adventure.

Day 3

Transfer to Kampala via Equator the Line

Transfer to Kampala via Equator the Line

After breakfast, start on the long drive back to Entebbe / Kampala with the memory of the great rare mountain apes. Have lunch en route and a stopover at the equator line for experimentation. You'll be arriving late in the evening to be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport at approximately 6:00 pm hence you have to book an evening flight!
